Situated on a 32-acre family-run property with roots dating back over 75 years, Commisso pairs traditional Italian winemaking heritage with classic cool-climate Niagara benchland terroir.

The Wine & Tasting Experience

Commisso specializes in premium, small-lot VQA wines, with a standout focus on big, bold reds and traditional Italian Appassimento-style winemaking — a method utilizing partially air-dried grapes to achieve richer depth, complexity and body.

• Tastings and wine by the glass: Sample signature reds, whites and rosés in the tasting room or enjoy a glass out on the patio overlooking the vineyard rows.

• Italian fare and wood-fired fare: Pair your tasting flights with house-made Italian specialties, artisanal pizzas and seasonal culinary features.

• Atmosphere: A relaxed, family-welcoming atmosphere with heated exterior patio seating, scenic vineyard views and frequent live music and seasonal events. Visitors often have a chance to meet and chat with the owners themselves.

Casa Dei Nonni Bed & Breakfast

Beyond the vineyard and tasting room, the estate grounds feature the Casa Dei Nonni Bed & Breakfast. The historic white farmhouse — originally the founder's childhood home — has been converted into an intimate retreat offering weekend getaways, small retreats, and event accommodations right in Grimsby's wine country.
