The Nook is a local handmade market in the heart of downtown Grimsby, bringing together products from a wide range of small businesses and makers in one space. Shoppers can browse handmade goods, home décor, furniture, jewellery, beauty products and other locally produced finds, with inventory changing regularly as vendors introduce new products.

The shop’s vendor-based format makes each visit a little different, while giving local makers and small businesses a shared downtown storefront. More recently, The Nook has also expanded its space and programming with vintage shopping, creative classes, wellness activities and music instruction.

Vintage Finds

The Nook recently added a dedicated vintage section, bringing another type of treasure hunting into the shop. Vintage collections sit alongside the handmade and locally produced goods found throughout the market, adding furniture, décor, collectibles and other previously owned finds to the mix. Because vintage inventory naturally changes as pieces come and go, this is another part of The Nook where visitors can expect the selection to evolve over time.

Classes, Workshops & More

The Nook also serves as a space for learning and community activities. Current programming includes sewing, crochet, and knitting classes, giving beginners and more experienced makers opportunities to work on new skills and projects.

The schedule extends beyond crafting. The Nook hosts chair yoga, meditation and floor yoga, and is also home to a music school, adding lessons and wellness activities to the mix of things happening in the space.
