Lana Bella Knit & Crochet brings a dedicated yarn shop to downtown Grimsby, with shelves of yarn, knitting and crochet supplies, and spaces set aside for classes and stitching together. Located on Ontario Street, just off Main Street, the shop carries yarn in a wide range of colours, fibres and weights alongside needles, crochet hooks, notions and other supplies.

Yarn, Tools and Plenty of Inside Jokes

Lana Bella carries yarn from Canadian and international brands including Estelle, King Cole, Lamana, Mode at Rowan, Sandnes Garn, Scheepjes and Sirdar, with options organized throughout the shop by brand and weight. Knitting needles, crochet hooks, notions and other project supplies are also available.

The shop doesn't take the hobby too seriously, either. Signs around the store define terms familiar to knitters and crocheters — from “WIP” and “frogging” to “yarn chicken” and “pro-craftination” — while finished projects and yarn displays fill the shelves.

Classes, Crochet-Alongs and Social Stitching

Lana Bella is also set up as a gathering place, with armchairs and tables throughout the store for working on projects together. Its recurring Social Stitch invites visitors to bring their current work-in-progress and spend an afternoon stitching and chatting with other makers. The shop also runs scheduled knitting and crochet classes. Its current calendar includes beginner knitting and crochet workshops, a multi-week crochet-along and additional classes in development.
