Sweet Cream and Cookie Co. is an ice cream shop and bakery in Grimsby-on-the-Lake, serving a mix of frozen treats, baked goods and seasonal specialties.

Sweet Cream’s offerings evolve throughout the year. Soft serve made with real cream can be paired with more than 15 Belgian chocolate dip options and a wide range of toppings, while cooler-weather offerings include Belgian chocolate hot chocolate, French macarons, brownies, lemon bars, cookies, croissants and other fresh pastries.

The space is shared with The Boba Shop, and the two businesses even cross over on one dessert: bubble waffles from The Boba Shop can be filled with Sweet Cream soft serve. There is also substantial indoor seating, board games and a small Harry Potter-themed nook with book pages, stuffed owls and other playful details.

Sweet Cream also has a young local-business story behind it. Owner Alex Augustine started the business at 17 and opened the shop after turning 18. The business opened on May 2025 and has continued to grow its menu, seasonal offerings and occasional programming alongside the Grimsby community.

Events have included painting nights and charcuterie brunches, with upcoming programming shared through the business’s social platforms. During the holiday season, Sweet Cream also adds elaborate holiday décor designed with photos in mind.
